I bought a samsun but the device I have been sold is a demo drive. I wanted to know if there is any way to modify the software to install a different system and be able to use them at least as a support device for some simple tasks since it does not have much memory

you're gonna need to flash it with the right firmware, modem and region need to be paid close attention to. Then, valid, whitelisted IMEI numbers need to be written to the device to allow it to function like a normal phone, that can be done with most samsung capable flashing boxes in the market, being a server-bound operation that will consume credits.
